Dee, a lifelong resident of the area, graduated from Union City High School in 1979. Since 2012, she has worked at Southern Michigan Bank and Trust, as a teller. Shortly after joining the bank, she became involved with Union City Rotary and has been an active member ever since.

After high school, Dee continued to live in the area but worked in Battle Creek for about 30 years before returning to Union City to work at SMBT. Though her connection to Union City remained strong, with all her children attending Union City Schools, her ties deepened when she started working full-time in town. 

At SMBT, Dee is known for her dedication to helping senior citizens and those in need stay on top of their finances. She assists customers with tasks such as balancing checkbooks, watching for fraudulent activity, paying bills, and ensuring their money is working for them. Dee is widely recognized for her exceptional service, going above and beyond in her efforts to support her customers.

In her work with Union City Rotary, Dee is highly active in community service. She serves on the fundraising committee, helping to support various programs that benefit the community. She plays a key role in organizing the annual Rotary golf outing, Ladies’ Night Out, and several raffles. Dee also manages the fireworks food stand at the Union City Independence Day Fireworks celebration each year.

In addition, Dee is involved in the Union City Rotary’s Children’s Christmas Program and other outreach initiatives aimed at supporting families and children in need. She notes that Rotary has been a significant source of inspiration for her to give back.

Dee has been married to her husband Dave for 32 years, and they have three children.
